StormCloud Signals Intelligence is a platform designed to map, analyze, and visualize wireless network environments. The platform collects publicly broadcast Wi-Fi and Bluetooth data for research, diagnostics, and situational awareness.

Information We Collect

Wi-Fi SSIDs and MAC addresses
Bluetooth MAC addresses
GPS coordinates (lat/lon) of detection events
Timestamp of each scan
Device ID (non-personal, pseudonymous identifier)

Use of Information

The data collected is used solely for mapping wireless networks, network troubleshooting, signal coverage analysis, and environmental research. The data is not linked to any personally identifiable user information.

Data Sharing

StormCloud does not sell, share, or trade collected wireless data with third parties. Data may be used internally or aggregated anonymously for technical reporting.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors interact with our website and applications. We use this information for platform improvements, measuring feature usage and performance, diagnosing technical issues, and informing product decisions.

Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you visit, approximate location (derived from IP address, which Google anonymizes), device and browser type, and how you navigate the site. This information is processed using cookies (see the Cookies section below) and is used in aggregate. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally, and we do not combine analytics data with the wireless data collected by the StormCloud Agent.

Google Analytics is only enabled if you consent to analytics cookies. You can decline at any time, in which case no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites function and remember your preferences. StormCloud uses two categories of cookies:

Necessary cookies — required for the site to function. These keep you signed in (authentication and session tokens), remember your cookie preferences, and support core security and payment functionality (for example, fraud-prevention cookies set by our payment processor, Stripe). These cookies cannot be switched off, as the site will not work correctly without them.
Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics (for example, _ga and _ga_<id>) to distinguish visitors and sessions and measure how the platform is used. These are optional and are only set if you choose "Accept all".

When you first visit StormCloud, we ask whether you want to Accept all cookies or use Necessary only. If you choose "Necessary only", Google Analytics is never loaded and no analytics cookies are placed on your device. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and site data.

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely on our servers. Security best practices are followed to prevent unauthorized access or misuse.

User Options

Users operating the StormCloud Agent are in control of when and where scans take place. No personal data is collected or required to use the application.

Changes to This Policy

StormCloud Intel may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the application after any such change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
